Vasudhaiva Kutumbakkam Sculpture

Art is a lucid song where words are a stammer!
Never more true than with the Vasudhaiva Kutumbakkam sculpture

Sculpture Title
Vasudhaiva Kutumbakkam : The Circle of Love and Haromoy

The Circle of Love and Harmony is a giant Sculptural Installation that symbolises a borderless world where faith & nations states are but a grid in the eternal circle of life. The Sculpture was especially created as a magnificent title piece for an Exhibition Titled Vsudhaiva Kutumbakam – From the Form to the Formless.

Inside page
Conceived & executed by  ontemporary sculptor and artist Shiv Verma, the Sculpture was produced by PratimaArts.
True to its title, the sculpture straddles with ease the two seemingly divergent worlds of contemporary art and ancient metal Sculpture techniques of the Bastar Tribals. The centuries old Bastar technique whispers tales of lost civilizations, of great artistry as much as it carries a promise of Art that whispers eternity & truth.

The syncretic sculpture snapshots symbols of all faiths, some well known, many barely known & is also filled with symbolism and promise. A free dove that symbolises the freespirit of life, a promise of peace, the Tajithu representing the Yin and Yang. The concentric circles represent the interconnectedness of faith and life It also signifies a leap of unity that catapults life beyond narrow confines of land or faith or forced traditions.

The Sculpture represents the essence of the Principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakkam. Life years for Unity and a grand, magnificent canvas. All human endeavour is but an excuse to experience this magnificence and grandeur.
